Melody received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has completed Suzuki violin teacher training at the Atlanta Suzuki Institute, Memphis Suzuki Institute, the American Suzuki Institute and was a scholarship recipient for study at the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute. In addition to her Suzuki training,
Melody has also completed all levels of study in the Kodály Method. As a multi-year participant at the Tennessee Arts Academy, she is dedicated to lifelong learning and finding ways to provide engaging instruction to students of all ages and skill levels using multiple methods of instruction.
Along with her busy teaching schedule, Melody is also a professional violinist performing as a soloist and in various groups and venues throughout the region.
